Fitzroy Readers Level 2
Readers 11-20 systematically introduce many new digraphs (e.g. sh and er). Used together with basic letter sounds (a for apple, b for bat, etc.), they enable students to effortlessly decode a large number of words.
One new digraph is introduced per reader, creating a steady, manageable progression for young children. This level also introduces the first 3-letter digraph (all), which is repeated many times throughout the Reader to aid memory and understanding. Some new single-letter sounds like y as in by or e as in he are also introduced, allowing children to sound out many common words. All new sounds (e.g. ar as in Mars) and special words (like space) are always introduced in the context of an entertaining story, making it easier to keep children focused and attentive.
